An official introduction

I know that I have told you before, but let me officially introduce the new CTMH Cricut Cartridge Artiste!  I am having so much fun using it for many different projects, including my niece’s bridal shower in September.

CricutArtiste[1]

Once a month, on the fourth Thursday (unless it is a holiday) I will be hosting a Cricut class and will feature a new project with using the Artiste or sometimes the Art Philosophy cartridge.  These classes are $5 and you will go away with a completed project and new ideas for your next project.  My next class is September 27th at 7:00 p.m. and it will feature a pumpkin created on the Cricut.  RSVP now!

If you want to know more about the new cartridge, you can watch this video from CTMH.

If you want to purchase the cartridge, you can get it on my website site here.  You can also get the cartridge bundle for half price!  Contact me about scheduling and in home class and when the class sales reach $250, you can get the cartridge bundle or $49.50

Aaaauuuggussst….There it goes!

Is your month flying by as fast as mine?  Wow!  But it was a great month, when I look back I can’t believe all that we did.
  • A couple of days at the cabin
  • A week long mission trip with our church
  • A week with a horse at the fair
  • A soccer tournament
  • A little back to school shopping
You will soon see lots of scrapbook pages featuring these events.
Until then, I just want to say I am looking forward to getting back to my classes, workshops and stamping clubs.  There are many new products sitting here and are begging me to “come out and play.”  Or maybe that is “stay in and play.”
IdeaBook-Cover[1]
Here’s the new Idea Book.  If you haven’t got yours yet, give me a jingle and we will make plans to meet up.  Or, join me for an Idea Book Review on Saturday September 14th.  Details will follow in my newsletter.
Hope you have had a great summer.

I can’t believe there are still a few left…but don’t wait if you want one!

I am talking about these gorgeous bags that Close to My Heart is giving away when you purchase the consultant kit during the month of August. Go to my website here and sign up NOW!

 ConsultantKit_Essential[1]

Yes, this is the consultant kit.  The Avonlea My Reflections kit is featured and the kit is full of coordinating stamp sets, inks, and embellishments to create layouts, cards and a photo box.  For $49, you receive $130 in products.

Best of all, you don’t have to do anything.  If you want the kit, you can have it and the bag (while supplies last).  But if you want to sell CTMH product, you can earn 22%.  If you want to build a business, I can help you with that!

In September, I will use the Avonlea Kit for our scrapbook layouts and then later in early October, I will host a card and photo box workshop where you will use the rest of your kit.

To take advantage of this offer, go to my website here and sign up NOW!

Love You

closetomyheart-ctmh-artiste
From the Artiste Cricut cartridge, the Love You is cut out and the negative is used as the focal point of the card.  The card itself with the scroll border and heart cut out is also from the Artiste.  The paper hearts are from the Dakota, Flirty and La Belle Vie paper packs.

Mummy!

closetomyheart-ctmh-moonlight

Isn’t he cute?  This stamp set is from the Moonlight Workshop on the Go.  I am looking forward to using the alcohol markers from CMTH to try some shading but this time I just used my water color pencils and the blending pen.  Our new black tulle is stiff and by tying a knot and cutting jagged ends, you can get a fun embellishment.  Again, this photo is not the best…I think I may need to see what is up with the camera.

Shine Bright

closetomyheart-ctmh-flirty

Sorry this is not a great photo and it doesn’t due justice to the cute Flirty paper and the embellishments.  So, to see the colors better, ask me for an idea book or visit my website!  The flowers are cut from the Flirty B&T and popped up with foam tape.  It really does “shine bright” in person.

Photo sensitive paper

photopaper

Earlier this summer, a friend and I spent a weekend together and she brought some fun craft ideas to try.  This was made using a light sensitive “photo” paper.  We went for the walk with “new eyes” looking for natural items that would create an interesting shadow.  Then we spent the mid day watching the transformation of our paper as we played with different arrangements on the paper.  As we were playing, we thought about how we would use our new prints to create cards.  I love the addition of the stamped butterflies and sentiment and then matted in black.  Thanks Trish for such a great creative time!

Let’s Hang Out

Another card created at the convention card workshop.  The dress is from the Pun Fun stamp set.  The small black gems make a standout belt.  The dress print is created by stamping the image on the patterned paper and then cutting it out and piecing it over the original stamped image on the white cardstock.

You Bring a Smile

closetomyheart-ctmh-artiste-labellevie
One of the benefits of CTMH annual convention is that you get to play with new products.  This is one of the cards that we created in the card workshop.  It feature the LaBelleVie and Dakota paper (I guess is makes if French Country!) and the Silver Mini Medley set.  I love those flower pins!  The stamp set is from a gift set we received as a convention participant.  Another bonus!  You, too, could be making a similar card at a workshop on August 16th.  RSVP today.

Steam Punk with Avonlea

closetomyheart-ctmh-avonlea-artiste

You can always learn something new, right? You can always create a new “fashion” right? Well I didn’t create steam punk but I learned about it at the CTMH convention. It is the mix of industrial metal with Victorian patterns. That is my definition anyway. So using Avonlea (which isn’t exactly Victorian), and gear and clocks images cut from Artiste, Lalia Harris demonstrated this box for our team time. I love how it turned out. The gear is embossed with silver and the clock face with gold. Although it is hard to see, this is actually a small gift box which was cut on the new Artiste Cricut cartridge. So much fun! I can’t wait to make more!

Baroque Borders: August Stamp of the Month

With the new Fall/Winter Idea book comes a new round of stamps of the month.  Every month, CTMH offers a stamp set at a discount price, just for that month.  August features Baroque Borders set of flourishes.  Although these make great backgrounds for scrapbook pages, you can also create beautiful cards and home décor.  Below shows the stamp set itself and then a card I created using the set.

This set is $5 with a $50 purchase or $17.95.  But just a reminder, a new set will come in September, so don’t miss it if you like it!

For my card, I used the CTMH Kraft paper, black cardstock, border cut at 1.5 real dial size from the Artiste Cricut Cartridge on colonial white.  The black tulle is from the new idea book as well as the button, from the antique gold mini medleys.  “Thank you” is from a new stamp set called “Casual Expressions”, D1225.  You can purchase these items along with the Stamp of the Month on my website here
