Happy Halloween

I hope your day is filled with frightful fun.

Do you have Halloween photos that need to be shown off?  I used this layout to document our Halloween last year.  My youngest was the only one to dress up and I was sick with the flu therefore my documentation in the photo of my Halloween “accessories”.

I used the Artbooking Cricut Cartridge to create this spooky page.  The haunted mansion is cut from the black glitter paper and I love how easily this cuts on the Cricut.  I also cut the title, bats, cat and fence in the black glitter paper.  The background is from the Huntington Paper packet but I also think it would look great on the Lola purple paper.

The photo frames are also on the key on this Artbooking layout.  I cut the fence out of the one in the bottom right and added the cat so the photo would fit.

Two of a Kind

Did you see the first Artbooking video?  I posted them last Friday.  Well, here is my version of the Two of a Kind layout.

These “Two of a Kind” are my nephews.  Love how much fun they have in life!

To create this layout, use the “2of-a-kind” key in Artbooking.  Set the size to 11” and cut the desired elements.  They will automatically be proportioned to the right size for the layout.  Ready, set, cut!

Holiday fun for the kids…or you!

Polar Pals card kit is perfect fun for you and your kids, especially if you want a craft for them during the holiday season.  Or, what about for you…an easy way to “dress up” the gift cards you give.

CTMH-Close to my heart-Polar Pals Card Kit

This kit comes with all the supplies you need to create 12 tri-fold cards.  The gift card holder is optional so you can leave it our if you like.  I have added the Red Glitter Glitz Gel to this photo because it is a perfect way to add a little sparkle to the penguin and snowman.  Speaking of the snowman, do you see how he pops off the card?  The kit includes some adhesive springs so you can add a surprise element to the card.  The plastic “buttons” are filled with confetti for a “shaker card” effect.

Scandinavian Wishes

This delightful stamp set reminds me of our dear friend Carol.  She shared her family heritage by teaching her children about the Swedish tradition of Saint Lucia.

“Christmas in Sweden begins with the Saint Lucia ceremony. Before dawn on the morning of 13 December, the youngest daughter from each family puts on a white robe with a red sash. She wears a crown of evergreens with tall-lighted candles attached to it. She wakes her parents, and serves them with coffee and Lucia buns. The other children accompany her. The boys dressed as star boys in long white shirts and pointed hats.”

I love the folk art look of these stamps.

Four of the stamps in the set have Cricut cuts from the Art Philosophy cartridge which makes creating even more fun.

You can purchase this stamp set for $17.95 or get it for $5 with a minimum purchase of $50.  Shop on my website or contact me.

Here’s my take on the stamp sets.  The first was inspired by some general Scandinavian prints I saw on the internet.  The second was designed by Lalia Harris from a card swap.

Thank You, Thank You

I want to say thank you to my customers, friends, family and team who supported me this past year.  I set a goal one year ago to earn the Close to My Heart incentive trip to Costa Rica and I am so excited to have made that dream come true.  You are the best cheerleaders!

I look forward to sharing my experiences with you.  And, if you have ever thought about having a job where you can earn vacations of a lifetime, just ask me how.  I am ready to cheer you on!  The next trip is Hawaii!
