One final Sampler in our year long series

I have had so much fun creating a seasonal sampler for each month of this past year.  Our final workshop will be in September but the products must be ordered by August 30th as they will retire at the end of August.  Don't wait to contact me if you would like to create this sampler.  Of course, if you cannot make the workshop, you are welcome to order the kit to go and I will email you the instructions. 

Back to School Sampler

Celebrate the beginning of the school season with this sampler.  Great for school teachers as well as home decor.  The sampler is $15 and must be order by August 30th. 

Workshop date is Friday Sept 11th 9:30 a.m. or Sunday Sept 13th 7 p.m.

Hey there cupcake!

Just can't get enough of this cute stamp of the month. 

And now for the instructions for this final card.

Cut three pieces of lagoon cardstock measuring: 

• 4.25 x 5.5
• 3.25 x 4.5
• 2.25 x 3.5

Set these aside

Cut three pieces of white cardstock measuring:

• 4 x 5.25
• 3 x 4.25
• 2 x 3.25

Layer these three pieces, with re-positionable adhesive.  It will look like this:

I stamped my focal image first so I would make sure to have space.  Then random stamp the cupcakes, overlapping all the white cardstock layers.  After random stamping, separate all the layers and re-layer inserting the lagoon cardstock squares.  For the upper layer, I used foam squares and added a wrap of ribbon to highlight the focal image with more dimension.

That's it!  Try your hand at this card!

Stamp of the Month Blog Hop: It's the little things

I created a layout with the stamp set and the random stamping technique.  I started with a 12 x 12 piece of white cardstock and stamp the images using this technique. 

Then I used the paper as I would a patterned paper and created a layout. 

Finally, I stamped and cut out the same floral images and create a focal point on my layout and added the "title".

And guess what is next?  I loved how the focal point turned out so I turned it into a card!

Stamps can be used in so many different ways; make your own paper, create a focal point with title, AND make greeting cards.

Artfully Sent Creations

When you get a new toy, you just want to play!  I took the seasonal route with my new Artfully Sent Cricut Cartridge.  Added the Scaredy Cat paper packet and in no time...really it was super fast...I had created these cards. 

Cut at 7" page 44  Sentiment function

Outlined with the silver marker and sentiment stamped from Halloween Greetings. 

Cut at 4 1/4" Page 43 Pop up for outer card, Pop up for Happy Halloween, Icon for web, and Icon for spider.  I used purple shimmer trim and Halloween Greetings for card front elements. 

Cut at 5" Page 44, , Pop up for outer card, Pop up for inner card with cut out ghosts, Icon for Haunted House and Icon for Tree.  I used the White Enamel stars and colored them with the Marigold Shin Han marker.   

You can purchase any of these items on my website and create your own 3-D Halloween cards.  (No special glasses needed!)

Seasonal Sampler Club is now taking new members!

I love being able to hang something seasonal in my home.  I have boxes of decor, but sometimes I don't have time to get it all out, decorate and then redecorate.  This is my solution!  Seasonal Samplers.  Each month I will hold a workshop to create a sampler which you can trade out in your frame, store in a flat box (provided) each month, and use again the following year.  When you purchase the frame and complete 8 samplers, your 9th sampler is free. (One of the greatest parts of this club is the collaboration with my downline to share our projects with our respective clubs!)

I kept things pretty simple with this set.  The tree is stamped with the pigment inks onto the Scaredy Cat paper.  I chose pigment inks because it helps to "cover" the pattern under the stamped image.  The wrap in the Thistle striped ribbon adds texture and whimsy to this simple card.

CTMH New Product Blog Hop

This hop we are featuring brand new Close To My Heart products that made their debut with the new Idea Book on August 1.  I'll share the new products I used on my projects as well as give you their names and order numbers so that you can go straight to my website and shop for the new products you love!

  So here it is!  


I absolutely love these new Designed Decor Shadow Box frames.  I have decided that I will create a Seasonal Sampler each month and switch it out as a display in my home.  

 

For the month of October, I will be displaying this sampler made using the Scaredy Cat My Reflections paper kit, coordinating complements, and assortment.  I also used foam tape to give the elements dimension as I attached them to my paper.  Although you might not be able to see the detail, I also used one of my all time favorite tools, the Uchida LePen Journaling Pen to outline some of the elements with a thin line.   Finally, I used the hook and loop dots to set it in the frame to it is easily interchangeable without damaging the sampler.  Photos and link of the product are listed below.
