Focus on A Friend

I have been doing several workshops this past month with the rolled roses like the one shown here.  I love how it adds a special touch to this card.  Crème brulee is another color that works well with the black and white of For Always.

A Gift from My Heart Tag

This is another piece of artwork I received in the swap I participated in.  The variety of texture in the burlap, quilled paper heart, metal charm and red sparkle come together to create this beauty.  This was also created by Kristine Tanase.

Blessed For Always

This layout is very sweet with the addition of the Smoky Plum color to the black and white of For Always.  She also used the Flair Frame stamp set, Girls Rock stamp set and For Always Textiles and Rosette Ribbon to give lots of texture and dimension.  “Blessed” is cut using the Black and Gray glitter paper and the font from the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge.  I feel Blessed to receive this beautiful layout in the swap!  Thanks Kristine Tanase.

Two things spoke Easter to me this year.  The first was the “Spring” key on the Artiste Cricut Cartridge.  I love how one key can feature a variety of projects that surround a specific holiday or season.  The basket shown here was made using the Cricut and the “spring” key.
The second was the Chantilly paper packet.  Bright colors with a hint of pastels fit perfectly into the spring and Easter season.  The egg card was created using the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge.
After enjoying this artwork, hop on over to Tracie’s Blog and see what she has created.
If you love the Chantilly paper packet, then you might love the April Close to My Heart Special.  When you purchase the starter kit for Close to My Heart, it includes the Chantilly workshop on the go along with $150 worth of coordinating products.  And, in April, Close to My Heart is adding the April, May, June and July stamps of the month to the kit.  Over $200 in product for just $49.  I am looking for friends who are interested in a great deal and a workshop to be scheduled in late May to use the products in the starter kit to make beautiful artwork!
And wait there is more!  When you purchase the starter kit in May, you can get this beautiful packet of paper at a 22% discount!
Dream Pop
So many good things to look forward to this spring!

Sk8r Celebration

The card was created my second upline, Karen Morris.  The pennant style cuts of the blues and greens of Later Sk8r create a wonderful birthday card for anyone!

The stamp set is from “Perfect Birthday” and goes well the with Perfect Fit frames 1 & 2.

What do you do?

This is a question I hear from people and often have stammered in my answer.  But I have decided that what I do is important enough to me, that I want to have an answer that shares my passion.

I teach paper-crafting including the Cricut, photo solutions and memory keeping.  I sell Close to My Heart products which include stamping and scrapbooking supplies, an online scrapbooking tool called Studio J and Cricut cartridges.  AND I mentor a team of creative consultants who share this passion.

My "job" gives me access to coordinating papercrafting products at a discount.  (And pays me more when others buy their products from me.)  Who doesn't love a discount and a little extra cash?

My "job" has given me the opportunity to earn extra cash to pay for horseback riding lessons, decorative painting in my home, AND an all expenses paid Mediterranean Cruise!  Who doesn't love a vacation?

Finally, my "job" has introduced me to a fabulous community of people who laugh, listen, and create with me.  Who doesn't need a good laugh with a supportive group of friends?

If you are interested in a discount, extra cash, a vacation OR a great community of friends, then consider Close to My Heart as a place for you!

Here's a link for more information and below is the starter kit, $49 for over $150 in product.

Happy Birthday

Another card made from the Claire paper packet.  The design was inspired by the card on page 111 in the Spring/Summer 2013 Idea Book.  Embellished with the Claire assortment and Artisan Studs, this card is full of surprise!  Joyful Birthday!

March First Friday Drawing

Welcome to March…and the first Friday.
And because it is also the first day of the month, I want to introduce the Stamp of the Month  Happiness Is.
The technique highlighted with this stamp is Two Step stamping.  Sounds like a dance right?  But it is even easier than dancing.  You stamp the solid image in a light color and then you stamp the lined image over top in a darker color.  Voila!  Then you have a beautifully detailed image.  In the card above, I have used the smaller rose solid and lined image to create a background for the top of the card.  This is a card we will make at my Stamp Camp on Sunday March 3rd.  I still have a couple of spots available if you want to join at the last minute.   See more stamp of the month artwork beginning here at the blog hop.
And now for the drawing…drumroll please!
I have given out 50 of the Spring/Summer idea books in the last two months.  If you have an idea book from me, then you should have a catalog number on the back!
This month I am giving away a free stamp set of your choice, any size!  And the winner is
March Catalog numberV2
If this matches your number, contact me by 9 p.m. Sunday evening, March 3rd with your selection and I will have it shipped directly to you!
What is my catalog number?  Find it on the back of your book as shown here.
