So much more than crafting—it's about connection, community, and the friendships that blossom along the way. Yes, I offer workshops, classes, and retreats where I teach card-making, scrapbooking, and journaling techniques, but what truly matters is the sharing of stories, the support we give each other, and the laughter we share.

More from STELLA!
This is such a fun paper pack…and a fun subject to scrapbook. This is my daughter on her horse Mariah at the fall 4-H show. Nothing makes her happier than to be on or near a horse. The fall colors a highlighted by the colors of papers in this kit. I feel like I need to add a few more embellishments before it hits the album…but nothing has spoken to me yet. Any ideas?
The bottom layout was scraplifted from Andrea Green. I am looking forward to adding the perfect photos and journaling to this layout. Sometimes they just need to simmer a bit before the right theme comes along.

Book Review, of a Sort
To those of you who know our family well, you know that my oldest daughter is a reader and always has been. I have photos of reading those black and white contrast books to her in the early weeks of her life. I am not sure if it started then but we are very familiar with all the libraries in several counties and of course bookstores in the area.
She is constantly picking up a book and reading it while she travels through out the house. Sometimes the books land in unusual spots like on this day when I found a book in the pantry. Must have been reading on her way to get a snack…
I am looking forward to adding her book list to the second page. I want to document her favorites so she can share them with children in the future.
And remember…The Dotty For You paper special! Big dots, little dots, glitter dots, lots of dots. Sounds like a Dr. Suess book.

Stitching in Studio J
The Studio J online scrapbooking has a stitching embellishment tool. This allows the look of stitching with little effort. Watch this video to see how it is done.
Here is a layout that I have created using the stitching tool. The second set of banners are not stitched because I was demonstrating how to add stitching in my Studio J workshop.
If you want a one on one Studio J tutorial, I can come to your home or meet you in the coffee shop and show you how. There is no cost to “play” with Studio J. Contact me today to set up an appointment.
The next Studio J Crop at my house is Tuesday May 8th. At 7:00 p.m. Watch for details in the next newsletter.

STELLA!
At our retreat a couple of weeks ago, many of us were using the paper packet called Stella. Whenever it was referred to someone would yell “STELLA!” So where does that come from?
A Streetcar Named Desire (1951)
Marlon Brando as Stanley Kowalski stands on the street shouting his wife's name after he's booted out of the house by Stella (Kim Hunter) over a fight about her sister, Blanche DuBois (Vivien Leigh). Stella relents, going to her brutish husband.
And then again in season of 3 of Seinfeld, Elaine imitates the scene yelling “Stella!” in an episode.
Thanks to the internet, I am able to figure this all out. I still laugh when I see this paper packet…
Creating these flowers is easy with the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge and the “Just for You” stamp set. First I cut two large flowers using the Cricut. Then I stamped petals on the back of different patterned paper and cut the out. For the buds, I cut the second large flower into thirds. The Stella Complements are used for the floral stems/vines. I love how this all comes together.
