This month I am doing a card class featuring the "Z-Fold" style of card. There are several different ways to create a Z-Fold and I created one using the Hello Foxy set.
For this particular card, I added a second layer to the fold so you can add another element to the card. Here you can see the fox and flower I have added. The 1/2" band of paper lies about half way between the front and back of the card to give it a 3-D look.
To color the stamped images, I used the water-brush and ink from the open top of the ink pads to get a light water color look. The colors on the wreath are Blossom, Lemon and Emerald. I used the same colors for the flower with the fox. For the fox, I used Sorbet.
This card is very simple and easy but effective. Stamping with the Memento Ink and watercoloring helps to create the soft look of the flowers.
And to add an element from last month's stamp of the month, I colored these two foxes with my Shin Han markers, Mahogany and Pastel Peach. Another simple and easy card.
You can purchase this stamp set from your consultants website. It is $5 with a $50 purchase and Close to My Heart is hosting a flash sale until June 2nd 2 p.m. PDT and your purchase of sale items can be counted toward your discount for the stamp of the month. Happy Stamping,

Love your cards. The Double Z Fold is adorable!
ReplyDeleteI love your z-fold card. The little fox is a cute surprise inside with all the flowery parts showing on the front.
ReplyDeleteLove the z fold card! Love the colors!
ReplyDeleteLove the Z-fold card. Great job with color choices.
ReplyDeleteAwww...so sweet and fun! It looks GREAT with the paper pack you chose!
ReplyDeleteAwesome cards! I like the z-fold and that you used pink!
ReplyDeleteOMGosh! Love all of your cards! I love the design and femininity of the first, but I love the simplicity of the second and third card. I am particularly fond of CAS cards and they are both wonderful. However, I have to say that the third is my favorite. Very clever using "together" with the two foxes. Love it!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards Michele!! Love them all! <3
ReplyDeleteFantastic cards! I'm happy I don't have to choose a favorite because that would be very difficult.
