Welcome friends to the May Stamp of the Month Blog hop! Can you believe it is May? Wow! Did you know that it is National Scrapbook Month? So many things to look forward to!
If you have arrived here from Jeanie's Blog, you are hopping right through. Take a look at the artwork I am sharing and then when you are done, make sure you keeping hopping right onto Judy's Blog to see what she has created!
The Just Sayin' stamp set has so many possibilities! I focused on using the geometric shapes from this set and LOTS of color to create my cards.
Since becoming a CTMH consultant, my confidence in using color has increased but I also know some tricks that make it a little easier! Want to know? CTMH has a wonderful set of 40 colors, divided into four color families with 10 colors each. When I am creating and not using a patterned paper or photos to pull colors from, I can turn to the CTMH color families and choose colors within the same family knowing they are going to work well together.
The color palette is on page 188 and 189 for the current Annual Inspirations Idea book. Here I used the Adventure Color Palette to create these two cards for winning results. Pairing any color family with the basics from the neutral palette, black in this case, helps make a bold, cohesive statement.
Take some time to play with color using these tips. I would love to see what you create!
Remember, the stamp of the month is only available May 1-31, 2015. You can purchase this set from your consultant or by visiting my website here.
Thank you for stopping by! Now remember, you are off to Judy's Blog for your next stop.
Happy May!
Michele
